Emerson

Hello - Emerson here. I'm a native of Palo Alto! A nice animal control officer found me injured in July 2021 and asked Mickaboo if they'd help me recover from my injuries. They dropped me off at Wildwood Vet in Redwood City and the staff there called me the 'weird cherry head' affectionately. I had smacked into something and smashed up my face and my wing. I have a weird bone near my beak that just pops out to the side - and my wing is always going to be droopy but at least it has healed a little bit.

I'm in a foster home now where there are other wild conures. I'm sharing a cage with Finley and we like each other but I am overpreening Finley a bit so I don't know if I've found my BFF yet.. but at least I have some bird company! I am eating Harrisons coarse pellets and I love almonds. Mmm, almonds. Hey does anyone have an almond around here?
