Hi, I'm Danielle! I was found on a doorstep in Hollister in the middle of 2021. I started laying eggs later that year, and my finder got me a nest box and discarded the real eggs but substituted fake eggs. I brooded the fake eggs for several weeks and got very protective of them. My finder learned that laying lots of eggs isn't good for parrots and surrendered me to Mickaboo in December 2021. I spent some time at the vet to lay another egg, but there were no issues, so I am now in a foster home with several other budgies.

I am relatively tame, and I know how to step up. I love to play with toys and other budgies. I also like to come out of the cage to hang out with my foster family, but they have to watch me carefully because I try to sneak off and find dark, cozy corners that could be nesting spots. I need a home with other female budgies (no more guy roomies for me!) and attentive humans who will implement all the skills from Mickaboo's basic bird care class to manage my hormones and hopefully keep me from laying more eggs. In return, I will delight and entertain you with my playful antics and friendly ways. Might I be right for your flock?
