Meet Genesis. At 5½ years old, this breathtakingly handsome boy is more of a quiet soul than a social butterfly. Genesis isn’t the type to curl up in your lap - he’s the type to sit nearby, watching you with those wise, observant eyes, taking it all in. He prefers admiration over affection and does not enjoy being touched or held. That said, he is not aggressive in the slightest, just incredibly cautious and tender-hearted. Genesis feels safest when he has cozy hideaways and tall perches where he can climb up high and survey his kingdom from above. A good cat tower and a peaceful home will make him very happy. Genesis absolutely adores other cats and would thrive with a confident feline friend to help him continue building trust. He’s the gentle, quiet companion for someone who understands that love doesn’t always look like cuddles, sometimes it looks like slow blinks from across the room and the soft comfort of simply sharing space. Genesis’ adoption fee is $135.00 Please complete a non-obligatory application at www.pawsandprayers.org Paws and Prayers cats are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, FIV/FeLV tested (neg), dewormed, current on flea/tick prevention, and microchipped at the time of adoption. They are litter box trained unless otherwise noted. Please be aware we do not walk around standing & holding our shelter cats - this is unnatural to them, and we like to keep them as comfortable as possible.  Please read the entire bio before emailing the foster with questions. Meet and greets are not arranged unless an adoption application is filled out and approved and are by appointment only.  Resident pets of all applicants must have had routine veterinary care, be spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines per the recommendations of your vet, current on heartworm tests and prevention (dogs only). We will verify these records; giving your veterinarian permission to speak with us will help expedite the processing of your application. Should your pet have a medical issue that may prohibit any of these, please note that on your application and we will also verify this with your veterinarian. Inquiries submitted through Petfinder or other third-party websites do not submit as applications in our database.
