Chai

Many of our birds are lucky to be alive after the conditions they're found in, and Chai is definitely no exception. This little Eurasian-Collared Dove had been the victim of a cat attack. Somehow little Chai survived, but sustained a horrible head injury. Through many weeks of recovery with her foster mom, Chai has healed beautifully well! She still has a head tilt as a result from the head injury, and from being blind in her right eye, but she is self-sufficient and eats on her own just fine. Once having been a wild (non-native) dove, Chai currently is wary of humans. She would require a home that would be very patient, understanding, and appreciative of her for who she is. Whoever does decide to give Chai a forever home would be rewarded with the sounds of her beautiful coo.
