Cheelo was rescued 2.5 years after being rescued from a hoarding situation with 28 dogs living in the desert. He was one of the more under-socialized dogs, so he can be shy at first—but once he feels safe, he’s incredibly sweet and loves ear and neck scratches. He does well with other dogs and is making progress with leash training, though he’ll need a patient home to continue building confidence. Cheelo is a laid-back boy who benefits from routine and having a safe space to retreat when he feels unsure. He just needs someone willing to go at his pace and show him he’s safe
