  -Meet Travis, a 2-year-old, 11-pound Cairn Terrier mix with a soft spirit and a quiet kind of charm that slowly works its way into your heart. Travis didn’t always know kindness, and while we may never know his full story, it’s clear he’s chosen to move forward with nothing but hope. Each day, he shows a little more trust, a little more confidence, and a lot more of the sweet soul he truly is. In his foster home, Travis has discovered the simple joys of being a dog. He loves a good play session with his foster mom’s Yorkies—gentle wrestling, playful romps—and then happily settles in for a cozy nap. Around the house, he’s a quiet, easy presence, content to just be near you. He’s still learning that human hands can be safe and loving, and he’s making beautiful progress. Even when unsure, Travis has shown incredible patience and kindness, never reacting with fear or snapping—even during his very first bath and grooming experience, which he handled like a little gentleman. With good meals, healthy snacks, and regular exercise, he’s gaining strength and confidence every day. His blond and copperish hued coat and soft white mane only add to his gentle, soulful look. Travis would best thrive in a calm, low-noise home with one or two adults who will give him the time and space he needs to fully blossom. A fenced yard where he can safely explore and sniff would be his happy place. This sweet, shy boy is ready for a quiet life filled with patience, understanding, and love. In return, he will become a deeply devoted companion—the kind that bonds in the most meaningful way.
