My Story
After recently spending several days on a trial run, we learned some great things about Skunk to share with prospective families. We ready knew that despite being an only dog for his first few months, he is both cat safe and adores adores kids. Of course, he is a BIG dog and could knock them over in excitement, but with appropriate supervision and reinforcement of his training, he can successfully live with youngsters. Skunk’s foster/trainer noted that they visited a friend where Skunk hung out with her toddlers and their kitten Squash (who's quite full of himself and has zero fear of dogs lol). His favorite activity was having little Josie toss treats to him while he was on “place,” and that is a big deal for a big dog! *People social *Dog social *Cat safe (tested with a dog-savvy kitten) *Has training *He's a hound-lab mix with a natural search behavior so could easily pick up nose work *Crate trained *Would make a fun hiking companion *Young and energetic but has been taught how to settle in the home.
