My Story

Hi there! My name is Apple Fritter, and I’m very happy you stopped by to read about me. My story started a little rough. I was rescued from a massive dumpsite in Mankato along with 54 other rabbits. I was just a tiny, timid four-week-old baby back then, and the world felt pretty scary. Thankfully, some wonderful humans brought us to safety, and that’s when I discovered something amazing—the indoor spoiled bunny life. Let me tell you… it’s the best life ever. I’m a very social and energetic boy who loves being around my humans. I’ll happily follow you around the house and politely beg for snacks, and I also enjoy showing off my happy binkies and zoomies when I’m feeling playful! My favorite foods are fresh timothy hay, Oxbow timothy hay pellets, and pretty much any bunny-safe greens you offer. And of course, the best part of the day is treat time—especially Oxbow treats or a small slice of banana. I love when my humans come down to my level on the floor to spend time with me. Once the pets start, I relax so much that I melt into a happy little bunny puddle. I’m quite the gentleman with excellent litter box habits. When I’m not following my human or munching something tasty, I enjoy a long snooze in my hidey box. Since I’m still a young and curious boy, my space will need to be bunny-proofed to keep me safe. With proper bunny-proofing, I would make a great free-roam house rabbit. I’m also very interested in the foster bunny next door, so I think I would love a bondmate of my very own. I’m a social guy who really enjoys companionship, so a bunny friend would make my happy life even better. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful bunny who loves socializing, snacks, and spending time with his people (and hopefully a bunny buddy too), I might be the perfect match. *RRMN requires all children be 10+ years old for first time bunny owners and 8+ for those with previous bunny experience.  All applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.*  If you're interested, please fill out an adoption application at: http://www.rabbitrescueofmn.com. Gender: Male (neutered) Approximate birthdate: August 2025 Approximate weight: 4 lbs Adoption fee: $100.00 (+tax) RRMN bunnies are all vetted, spayed/neutered, and vaccinated. All bunnies are fostered in private homes where they are socialized and ready to become indoor companion house pets. RRMN is a non-profit rescue group operated 100% by volunteers, and 100% of donations/adoption fees go to the direct care of our animals. Due to their very special behavioral needs, we do not advocate for our rescue rabbits to serve as Emotional Support Animals (ESAs).  We are unable to provide any documentation or certification for an ESA.        If you have any questions or are interested in meeting or adopting this bunny, the first step is to complete an adoption application found on our website:  http://www.rabbitrescueofmn.com.  For the safety of our rescue bunnies, our protocol requires a home-visit before placement.  Therefore, we are unable to facilitate adoptions that exceed an hour and a half of travel time from the Twin Cities area.
