Hello, my name is Claire. I’m a beautiful flame point Siamese mix with soft cream fur and the bluest eyes you’ve ever seen. People tell me I have an old soul — and I suppose that’s true. Even though I’m still young, I have quite a story to tell. For nearly a year, I survived on my own outside a Shell gas station. The people there were kind and made sure I had food, and I will always be grateful to them. But food wasn’t the only thing I needed. Deep down, I longed for safety, for warmth, for someone to truly love me. I wanted a home. Thankfully, MCAS stepped in to help me, and Sheltering Hands showed me what real comfort feels like — soft blankets, full bowls, gentle voices, and caring hands. For the first time in my life, I understood what it means to belong. I didn’t have to watch the world from a parking lot anymore. I could finally rest. I am a very food-motivated girl and I never take a good meal for granted. Treats are a treasure to me. But even more than food, I love people. I love being held, petted, and doted on. I lean in close when you talk to me. I soak up reassurance. Tell me I’m beautiful and that I’m a good girl, and I will give you the softest look and the gentlest purr. All I want now is a quiet, loving place where my tender heart can finally exhale. A forever home where I can give the deep, steady love that lives inside this young heart of mine.
