Harper

Harper is a 6-month-old, 27-pound pittie mix with a wiggly body, a happy heart, and classic puppy energy. Found as a stray, he’s ready to leave his past behind and grow up in a loving home. Harper is friendly and loves being close to his people—whether that’s leaning in for pets, climbing into your lap, or following you around. Like any young pup, he’s working on his manners, but he’s eager and fun to train. He’s treat-motivated, already knows “sit,” and is learning more every day. On a recent field trip to a volunteer’s house, Harper showed how nicely he can adapt. He rode calmly in the car, greeted new people with a wagging tail, and relaxed enough to nap on the bed. He was comfortable hanging out nearby, checking in for a few kisses before settling back down, and showed no signs of anxiety. Harper hasn’t quite figured out how to best interact with other dogs. He’s best suited as a solo dog for now.
