ORION NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:  Orion         Best Guess for Breed:  Maltese mix   Best Guess for Age:  5 years as of March 2026          SEX:    Male   Approximate Weight:  10.2 lbs   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  North Carolina shelter - needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here!    Orion is Looking For:   This cutie landed in the shelter through no fault of his own. He is eagerly looking ahead to his new one. The one where he gets his own humans for sniffy walks and romps and all the adventures they can dream up. (And daily brushing and regular professional grooming - that coat needs it. Mats hurt!)He's well out of the puppy yips and is in his prime as an adult dog, so he knows what's most important in life: being safe and loved and under his own roof. In exchange, he promises loyal companionship for all his days. What do you say? Can you see him by your side?
