My Story
General Notes | Lily is as sweet and refreshing as a spring morning! While she may share a name with a flower, she’s much more than a pretty face—she’s a bundle of wagging tails and soulful gazes that will brighten even the cloudiest day. Lily is the ultimate "gentle adventurer." She has that classic, curious Lab spirit, but she approaches the world with a soft, observant nature that makes her extra endearing. Whether she’s delicately investigating a ladybug in the grass or curling up like a little black velvet ribbon in your lap, Lily is all about the quiet, meaningful moments. She is looking for a "garden" to call her own—a family who will shower her with love, teach her the ropes, and watch her bloom into the loyal, devoted companion she was born to be. If you’re looking for a little bit of natural beauty and a whole lot of love, Lily is ready to be yours.Want to adopt this dog? Please do not email us. Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP, and an Adoption Coordinator will be in touch within a few days. Our standard application processing timeline is 12 - 14 days. Personality | Friendly, snuggly, and happy!Story | This litter was pulled from a high kill shelter in Houston. Dogs | Great with other pups! Cats | This litter is expected to be great with kitties due to their wonderful demeanor and young age. Children | Would love kiddos who will play, snuggle, and give ALL the kisses! Training | In progress! All these babies are working on potty training, crate training, and sleeping through the night. Leash | Too little to leash walk, but will learn with time! Our rescue follows “No Paws on the Ground" (NPOG) as a safety protocol for young puppies, primarily used by veterinarians, shelters, and rescues. It means that an unvaccinated or partially vaccinated puppy should never be allowed to put their feet on the ground in any public or communal area where other dogs or animals may have been. These babies love to play in secure yards, and be snuggled and held on family walks.Activity Level | Moderate. Typical puppy who loves to nap, play, repeat! Health Notes | This litter survived parvo and all 4 pups are now thriving in foster homes!Thank you! | Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $575 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year old, $525 for 1 - 6 years old, $475 for dogs 7 - 10 years old, and $350 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $625. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, transportation to Colorado, and supplies while in foster care (that currently average over $750 per dog).Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet and greets by appointment to approved applicants only. To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process. We will not respond to emails about animal availability or allow meet and greets without an approved adoption application on file. Please Note | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption. We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved. Your application is good for one year from the date of applying for any dog as long as it is a good fit for your family and your lifestyle. We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page!
