My Story

Gordo is a dog who was found to have a fractured femoral head, a painful orthopedic injury that significantly affects the stability and function of the hip joint. Injuries of this nature typically require specialized orthopedic evaluation and surgical intervention, such as a femoral head ostectomy (FHO), along with structured recovery and follow-up care. This level of surgical management and rehabilitation exceeds what we can consistently provide in the shelter environment.Despite his injury, Gordo remains gentle and is doing his best while receiving supportive care.Gordo needs a safe, compassionate placement where he can receive the advanced surgical care and recovery support necessary to improve comfort and mobility. This pet is at risk for euthanasia due to the level of medical care required, which exceeds what we can provide in the shelter.
