Meet Benedict. Benedict is an adorable 1–2 year old Havanese who is about as sweet as they come. He has a playful little energy and is still figuring out this new thing called freedom. Everything is exciting right now. The yard, the smells, the toys, the whole world really. Benedict came from a puppy mill, so he’s learning that life can actually be pretty great. Because of that, he will need a family who understands that he’s still learning to trust people and the world around him. Patience and kindness will go a long way with this little guy, and watching his confidence grow is really special. He sleeps through the night in his crate and is quickly catching on that all potty business happens outside. He’s also starting to get the hang of walking on a leash and is very enthusiastic about exploring everything around him. He loves other dogs and would enjoy a dog friend, but he’d also be perfectly happy as an only dog as long as he has people to love. He’s affectionate, gives the sweetest kisses, and is slowly learning how to relax, take naps, and just be a dog.
