Meet Zara Zara is only 2.5 years old, and through no fault of her own, her life recently hung in the balance. Our PAC director stepped in after learning that Zara was at risk of being shot simply for barking at vehicles coming up to the home. After meeting her, we can say this with complete confidence: Zara is sweet as can be.She is: Spayed Up to date on vaccinations Good with other dogs (currently lives with a same-size dog and a small dachshund) Living with catsZara may bark when vehicles approach the home, but when people actually come up to her, she has never done anything beyond barking. When we met her, she was friendly, affectionate, and listened very well.In fact, Zara’s biggest “problem” might be that she’s a little clingy — she loves her people and would happily climb right into your lap for attention and snuggles.She is also used to electric fencing when outside, so a similar setup or a secure yard would be helpful for her.Zara deserves a home where she is loved for the loyal, affectionate dog she is, not punished for doing what many dogs naturally do — alerting when something approaches.If you can offer Zara a safe place to land, please reach out.Even sharing her story could help change her future. ?
