My Story

Appa (A141441) is a 6-year-old Great Pyrenees who weighed 66.6 pounds on intake! 03/11/26 This beautiful mother-daughter duo is Appa and Ray! They were surrendered to the shelter due to no fault of their own. We are not requiring that they be adopted together, but if you are looking for two dogs that are already established with each other, these ladies could be the ones for you. They were pet dogs and are used to living an indoor lifestyle. They were stated to be kennel trained, housebroken, ride well in a car, and know their basic commands. Both of these girls have histories of ear infections and were placed on a limited-ingredient diet while at the shelter. This is something their next owner(s) will want to keep an eye on and consult with their vet if they see any issues arising. Ray was treated by the shelter vet on arrival at the shelter. Appa and Ray were said to love people and have previously done well with people of all ages! These ladies were known to jump up on people and give “hugs”. Something to keep in mind with small children in the home. They were described as “weary” around other animals and may enjoy being the only pet/pets in the home. If you plan to introduce them to other animals, do so in a slow, safe, and controlled environment to help set them up for success. They were described as loving and caring dogs who deserve to find good homes. If you are interested in meeting Ray, Appa, or the pair, please let us know!
