My Story

3/11/26 Licorice is little piece of yummy goodness just waiting for someone to choose her. Her beautiful black coat fits her name, and she's wearing fantastic white socks. Licorice is one of the largest ones of the litter. She is sweet, friendly, and full of fun! This little litter was born to a stray who took up residence in someone's garage to try to keep her babies safe. Mom is a black lab (maybe mixed with Weimeraner?). She is very shy and timid. We brought mom and babies into rescue when babies were about 3-4 weeks old. They are now 7-8 weeks old. These babies are so beautiful and sweet! They are not crazy energetic puppies. They are more on the chill side. They are observers, opting to sit back and check things out before diving in to new situations. I think this demonstrates intelligence on their part. They do love to play, but they also love to be picked up and held like the babies they are. We believe they will be large dogs once grown. Mom is only about 40 lbs but based on current size, we think the puppies will be bigger than her. We don't know what they are mixed with, and it is likely there are several different "candy makers" in this batch! She is spayed, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.  These puppies are located in Arkansas. They can be adopted locally, but transport is available to the New England area as well. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them in PA, NY, or CT on Saturdays.
