Murphy (A141380) is a 1-year-and-4-month-old GSD who weighed 59.6 pounds on intake! 03/09/26 This stunning girl is Murphy! Murphy was surrendered to the shelter due to no fault of her own. She was returned to her breeder, and her doggy parents no longer accepted her. Murphy has been with the breeder for the past 10 months so they could rehabilitate her and help prep her for her new home. While with them, Murphy was said to be kennel-trained, housebroken, and knows her basic commands. She is a very smart dog looking for an owner who can keep her both mentally and physically stimulated. If you are unfamiliar with German Shepherds, we encourage you to research the breed before adopting. Murphy was said to love children and did well with strangers once appropriate introductions were made. Murphy was known to have a high prey drive when it came to feathered critters and would do best in a home without small animals. She was said to be generally curious of other dogs, but would bark at dogs if they walked by and she was in a fenced-in yard. Slow, safe, and controlled introductions are key to helping set her up for success. Murphy was known to have a rough style of play which is not always appreciated by other dogs, so this is something else to keep in mind. Murphy was described as a very sweet, loyal, and tuned-in dog.
