Lottie & Blue

Meet Lottie and Blue, the cutest little babies around!  Lottie (the brown tabby) is a silly & lovable cat. Lottie was rescued with Blue and their Mommy (named "Mommy") in December, just before the FIRST of this winter's blizzards. [originally, the rescue was intended to help out with TNR -- but soon their dispositions set them on a different path -- to a life indoors & getting to know their new human friends] While slightly shy at first, Lottie has always been very gentle, and a bit of a clown. He has an endearing kitten-ish personality & demeanor… sweet, expressive & goofy, curious & exploring, plays hard with ‘high kitten energy’… until he totally tires himself out. Lottie LOVES a cardboard box. He’s expert at making it into a “tunnel” or a “house” (and we discourage him from eating it!). Loves a cardboard scritcher. Loves toys --- will play with a wand toy with you, but also loves his little stuffed “fishy” and “turtle” toys… he’ll race around with them and is very good at finding them under the bed (don’t be surprised if he steals your socks & hides those under the bed too – everything is a toy to Lottie!). He wrestles vigorously with Blue… as growing kittens, they zoom around with impressive athleticism, stamina & theatrics (if Blue has always been a leader, Lottie seems to be the entertainer!). While Lottie can easily be cuddled & held on your lap, he’ll wriggle away to go see what he’s missing out on (there’s so much to see & explore!). But … once he wants to take a rest … he’ll curl up by your legs or feet in the most adorable way. Always polite, Lottie LOOOOOVES mealtimes & treats (especially Churu/Delectables & Temptations). He’s a charmer. Blue (the gray kitty) is a sweet young cat. He's alert, curious, and very attuned to human attention -- in fact, he'll DEMAND attention... especially at meals, playtime, for treats, or when he wants to run around. Blue will purr readily when held. An affectionate cat, he enjoys snuggling on a lap -- but given his energetic age -- that moment of calm & quiet just might be interrupted by the "zoomies," a wrestling match with his brother, or a spontaneous need to go check something out. Blue is playful and enjoys interactive play with humans (such as a wand toy). He also LOVES zipping around with his brother Lottie, and with Mommy too. He's active & athletic (especially if treats are up on a table!) Gravity is no match for Blue... even as a smaller kitten, Blue was able to do impressive "pull ups" inside his crate. As with almost any young cat, some gentle, loving guidance will be helpful & assuring in new surroundings and when meeting new people. Also at his young age, Blue would do well in a home where his person/people are around quite a lot -- he likes attention and comfortable human presence. He seems to make friends with ease, and is a very sweet, lively and engaging cat to be around.
