My Story
Gemma is five years old and still believes she deserves a happy ending — and honestly, she does. She lost the only mom she’d ever known to cancer, and for a while, her world felt very small. But Gemma is resilient. She’s affectionate, funny, a little dramatic (in the best way), and she absolutely lights up when she’s with her people. She will lean into you for pets like it’s her job. She’ll carry her toy around proudly like a prized possession. She’ll sprawl across the couch like she pays the mortgage. And when you look into her eyes, you’ll see a dog who just wants to belong again. She’s currently learning how to socialize with other dogs and is doing incredibly well with slow, structured, muzzled introductions. She’s thoughtful and making progress every week. With the right guidance, she continues to blossom. Gemma learns tricks with ease, is house-trained, and thrives with enrichment and play. She’s smart, athletic, and deeply bonded to her humans. She doesn’t need a perfect home. She needs a committed one. If you’re ready for a loyal companion who will give you everything she has — Gemma is ready for you. Gemma's fosters believe in her and will sponsor her fees for the right home.
