My Story
Teeny came to the shelter as a stray on 3/25/25 and has been waiting far too long for her chance at a home. In playgroup, she tends to keep to herself, offering polite greetings, playing a bit, and showing some mild assertiveness, but overall she is a low-key, calm girl. Volunteers describe her as easy in and out of the kennel, non-reactive to other dogs, and very affectionate once sheâs comfortableâshe loves sitting close on the bench and soaking up attention. On a recent Snout & About outing to Baseline Trailhead, Teeny did well encountering unfamiliar adults, dogs, and children, enjoyed a Pup Cup at Starbucks, and showed nice leash manners with only mild pulling when curious. She is very treat motivated (especially for Milk-Bones!) and knows how to sit for rewards. Teeny can be a bit unsure in certain situations, such as sudden movements or unfamiliar approaches, but once given time and reassurance she seeks affection and relaxes. With patience, consistency, and a calm environment, Teeny has the potential to be a wonderful, loving companion who is ready to finally leave the shelter behind.
