!! URGENT- DEADLINE FOR ADOPTION/ RESCUE: WED 3/11 @ 5:00 PM!!Meet Braxton, a 70-pound Sweetheart-  Braxton has a gentle heart and a wagging tail that seems to run at supersonic speed. When he arrived in April 2025, he was a curious pup in a big dog’s body—still figuring out the world. With patience and love, he’s grown into a much more confident, thoughtful companion.Braxton adores belly rubs (he may politely paw to request them) and is happiest lounging on the couch or heading out for a good walk. Once nervous about the outdoors, he now looks forward to exploring and spending time with his people. He’s a smart boy who knows cues like sit, down, heel, and “watch me,” and he thrives with structure and positive training.He’s gentle, doesn’t guard food or toys, and enjoys being near his humans—sometimes forgetting he’s not actually a lap dog! Because of his size and ongoing leash training, he’d do best in a home with kids over 10.Braxton is the kind of dog who blossoms with patience and kindness—and in return, he offers loyalty, sweetness, and a heart full of love. Braxton has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in his new home.  He's also sharing his shelter suite with a friend he met at the shelter.  Looking for a buddy for your dog?  Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we're a match!  Check out his playgroup video here:To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To help expedite the meet and greet process, please make note of my Animal ID number, and those of other dogs you might be interested in meeting. Be sure to bring your ID with you, too.
