My Story

Sweetie’s story is one of resilience, growth, and so much heart. She first came into rescue as a bright-eyed, bushy-tailed 2-year-old who had known very little kindness. Having lived much of her early life on a chain with minimal food, no training, and very little attention, she arrived as a true “wild child” simply because no one had ever shown her how to just be a dog. Fast forward three years, and Sweetie has blossomed into a loyal, devoted, and absolutely stunning girl who would do anything for her people. She’s energetic, adventurous, and always ready to go. Sweetie loves hikes, bike rides, and has even done some dryland mushing in a harness. She’s housebroken and crate trained, though she truly thrives with access to the outdoors. A home with a yard, especially one with a dog door so she can safely enjoy outside time and come in when she’s ready, would make her very happy. Sweetie does well with most other dogs but has a more dominant female personality, so she would need a proper meet-and-greet with any resident dogs to ensure a good match. If you’re ready for a loyal adventure partner with a huge heart and so much love to give, Sweetie is waiting.  After three years of patiently waiting, it’s finally Sweetie’s turn. Her adoption fee has been generously sponsored — all that’s missing is the right home! Adoption clinics can be a bit too hectic for her, so please apply then email rescueadogtoday@gmail.com to set up an outside of clinic meeting.
