My Story
Meet Badger, our little fighter with the biggest heart. Badger came to Paws and Prayers as a tiny neonatal baby in April 2025, only about two weeks young. He was handed a tough start, but this brave boy has done nothing but grow stronger. When he arrived, Badger had an eye condition that couldn’t be corrected until he was old enough to be neutered. His eyelid was attached to his eye, but he has since had surgery to repair it. He may always have a little leakage from that eye, but it does not affect his vision and he does not need antibiotics — it’s simply part of his story. Badger also has a chronic upper respiratory condition and takes a daily L-lysine supplement to help manage it. Because of this, he would do best as the only cat in the home where he can stay happy and healthy. What truly defines Badger isn’t his medical history - it’s his spirit. He is playful, loving, and wonderfully outgoing. He doesn’t let anything slow him down. He’s the kind of boy who will chase a toy one minute and curl up in your lap the next. After such a rough beginning, Badger is more than ready for a forever home where he can be cherished the way he deserves. Badger’s adoption fee is $135.00 Please complete a non-obligatory application at www.pawsandprayers.org Paws and Prayers cats are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, FIV/FeLV tested (neg), dewormed, current on flea/tick prevention, and microchipped at the time of adoption. They are litter box trained unless otherwise noted. Please be aware we do not walk around standing & holding our shelter cats - this is unnatural to them, and we like to keep them as comfortable as possible. Please read the entire bio before emailing the foster with questions. Meet and greets are not arranged unless an adoption application is filled out and approved and are by appointment only. Resident pets of all applicants must have had routine veterinary care, be spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines per the recommendations of your vet, current on heartworm tests and prevention (dogs only). We will verify these records; giving your veterinarian permission to speak with us will help expedite the processing of your application. Should your pet have a medical issue that may prohibit any of these, please note that on your application and we will also verify this with your veterinarian. Inquiries submitted through Petfinder or other third-party websites do not submit as applications in our database.
