My Story

MO NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!     Name:  Mo            Best Guess for Breed:  Shepherd, Hound Mix      Best Guess for Age:  2 years as of December 2025           SEX:  Male   Estimated Weight:  70 lbs   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen Mo with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any interested adopters.    Currently Living at:  DC area foster home   Mo is Looking For:  Mo was adopted out as a very young puppy and through no fault of his own he's now back in our care. He's still a young, energetic pup so he'd love a family that will give him plenty of exercise and time to romp with other dogs. Most of all, though, he wants a family to love and be loved by. What My Foster Says About Me: This 2.5-year-old goofball is the perfect package of playful energy and devoted couch companion. With his long legs and athletic build, he's ready for neighborhood walks and off-leash romps with his dog friends—but his favorite spot is curled up on the sofa with his head in your lap. Mo (aka Goose) is a strong, silly sweetheart who's already completed basic agility training alongside his 12-year-old human sister. He's also quite the talker—he's learned to "speak" on command and can even say words like "Mama" and "I love you" for treats! He thrives with older kids and needs an experienced handler who can manage his enthusiasm and size. He does well with other dogs, though we aren't sure if his cat-compatibility has ever been tested. If you're looking for a loyal, chatty companion who'll make you laugh during playtime and melt your heart during naptime, this big guy is ready to find his forever family.
