My Story

Meow there, friend. My name is George. If you're looking for a boisterous, attention-demanding sort, you might have to look elsewhere. I'm more of a quiet observer, preferring to let my purrs and gentle headbutts do the talking. When my humans found me and my siblings – a litter of four, all bursting with personality – they decided to honor a legendary quartet. As the most pensive, perhaps a bit mystical, and certainly the quietest of us, the name George was, quite simply, my destiny. Much like the human George, Mr. Harrison himself, I tend to have a soulful quality about me. I was just a tiny kitten when I was adopted, ready to explore my new world. But sometimes life takes unexpected turns, and when a human baby came along, I found myself back at "Strawberry Field", waiting for my new home. It's funny, though, because I truly adore little humans; I often wish I could share their homes and sing them "Good Night" every evening. I am, as you can see, a rather splendid orange boy, with fur so long and soft it feels like a dream. It's often compared to a flowing, melodic guitar solo – an apt description, I think. I'm quite capable of entertaining myself with ease, and watching my pounces and playful swats is like seeing a beautiful melody unfold, each movement a perfect note on a partition. Still, I'm also quite adept at collaborative efforts. I'm always ready to "jam" with my humans, whether it's with a string toy or just a good, long cuddle. I am, in fact, a very cuddly boy, always ready to share warmth, a quiet moment, and a loving gaze, because I know "All you need is love." If you have to go away, I will offer you 'All My Loving' as a promise. My heart will wait patiently for your return, dreaming of a moment when we can cuddle and listen to 'Love Me Do'—a devotion that will never fade. And speaking of friends, I truly cherish the company of other cats, whether they are playful kittens or wise seniors. While the cattery was a bit scary at first, I soon found my peace "With a Little Help from My Friends" - a couple of kittens and a fluffy, quiet tabby. Now, I strive to give back, offering my calming presence to make other cats feel safe and secure. There's a gentle spirit within me. I find profound beauty in the simple things: a patch of sunlight, the rhythmic hum of the pet grooming salon, the quiet rustle of leaves outside the window. I often ponder the deeper mysteries of the universe, like where that red dot goes, or why the food bowl isn't always full. Perhaps this is where my "mystical" side comes in. I strive for a higher state of being, which usually culminates in a perfectly executed nap. You might say I carry a little bit of "Here Comes the Sun" within me, always seeking the warmth and light in every moment. And truly, "Something" tells me that you and I are going to get along just famously. I currently reside at the Petco cattery (5450 Weslayan - Bissonnet/Weslayan in West U) and would love you to visit me. You can just stop by anytime and look at me through the window or you can schedule an appointment with my staff by texting 281-844-3929. Note that I have a couple of gigs at PetSmart you are welcome to attend (2902 S Shepherd - next to Trader Joes on W Alabama/Shepherd) on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4pm.
