My Story

Nancy (also known as Yuli by her foster mom) is a loving, affectionate girl who has been thriving in her foster home. She enjoys the simple things in life—going on walks, chewing on her favorite yak chew, playing, and soaking up as many belly rubs as possible. Nancy has a healthy appetite, enjoys her routine, and loves spending time with her people. She’s comfortable meeting new people in her community and is generally relaxed when they stop to say hello and give her some pets. She also makes a great little watchdog, giving a brief bark to alert her family if someone pulls into the driveway or comes to the door, but she settles quickly and isn’t an excessive barker.Nancy has a nice amount of energy and enjoys getting it out on walks, though she can be a strong puller—especially when she spots other dogs. Continued leash training will help her polish those manners, and she’s already making progress with her foster. While she has lived with cats and did very well with them, her experiences with dogs have been more mixed. She has previously lived with another dog but also tends to be a bit assertive in dog playgroups, so thoughtful introductions and guidance will be important. She is crate trained, enjoys time with her family, and would do best with adopters who can continue helping her build confidence and good habits. With structure, patience, and love, Nancy will make a loyal and fun companion for the right home.
