Nigel (sweet, playful, adorable)

Nigel was born in May 2025 and came to LCCR in September 2025 after being found lying in the rain next to a food bowl outside.  He was scooped up and had a scary couple of days trying to get healthy, but he finally pulled through with the help of several devoted feline caregivers.  He is ever grateful to have a second chance at life! Nigel was adopted in October 2025 but returned to LCCR in March 2026.  Unfortunately, the resident cat at his adoptive house never accepted Nigel and kept attacking him incessantly.  Nigel's owner tried everything, but she was concerned that Nigel was going to get hurt, so she decided it would be best for him to come back to LCCR.  Nigel is a bundle of of affection, love, and friendliness all wrapped up in a kitty-sized package of orange and white!  This fella doesn't have any fear--he greets everyone with a purr and a head bump. At his current foster home, his foster mom is slowly reintroducing Nigel to other foster kitties so he can remember how much he used to like to play with them.  She is pretty sure he will soon get over his cat-onset PTSD.  He should be able to go to an adoptive home with a cat who is chill and friendly.  Nigel used to be attached to the Golden Retriever at his adoptive home, so if you have a dog who is looking for a companion, and you are looking for a friendly and social boy, Nigel is the kitty for you! If you have kids, he would be perfect for you! Nigel's adoption donation is $135, which includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and neuter.  Given his friendly nature, he will be tagging along to upcoming adoption events, but his foster mom does not expect him to last too long!   If you would like more information on Nigel, please contact Ellyn at lovingcarecatrescue@gmail.com.
