Meet Lizzy – Brainy, Bouncy, and Full of Spark ?Lizzy is a smart and spirited Border Collie mix who brings big personality wherever she goes. She’s playful, affectionate, and always ready to engage—whether that’s chasing toys, learning new games, or soaking up attention from her favorite people. Lizzy knows sit, takes treats enthusiastically, enjoys car rides, and has a soft side that comes out once she settles—snuggles included.True to her herding-dog roots, Lizzy has lots of energy and opinions. She can be reactive to other dogs, especially behind barriers, and does best with slow introductions and a small, carefully chosen dog circle—or as an only dog. Impulse control and leash manners are works in progress, but she’s highly food- and toy-motivated, making her a great candidate for positive-reinforcement training. In the yard, she loves to zoom, explore, and then cool off (sometimes literally—she’s been known to take a dip when tired!).Lizzy also has some orthopedic considerations: she has an abnormal gait with patellar issues and arthritis in her hind legs. Surgery is the gold standard, but if that’s not an option, she’ll need a couch-potato lifestyle, joint supplements, and pain management under veterinary guidance.
