My Story

Hello there! My name is Honey Bun, and I’m part of the sweetest two-for-one deal — my brother Chocolate Ganache and I are a bonded pair! Yes, we have delicious names, and we think our personalities are just as sweet. Our mama was rescued as a stray from a large dumpsite in Mankato, and shortly after arriving safely in rescue, we were born. That means we’ve had the very best start in life — safe and loved from day one. Ganache and I are completely devoted to each other and would be lost apart. While we adore attention (and will absolutely climb into your lap if you sit on the floor), each other is our priority. We love cuddling under our hidey box and zooming through our 4-foot cardboard tunnel together. We have amazing hearing — if a treat bag crinkles, we’re on our way! We’ll happily take treats from your hand. We have perfect litter box habits and don’t chew on things we shouldn’t. We enjoy timothy cubes, piles of timothy hay, and our Oxbow timothy pellets. We love most bunny safe greens, and strawberries or apple slices are our favorite special treats. We haven’t met cats or dogs yet — just other bunnies. Once we’re settled into our forever home, we’ll be little explorers. I’m the curious, outgoing one, and Ganache is a bit more timid but follows my lead. We’re petite boys with big hearts and will run up to greet the people we love — especially if you might have snacks.  *RRMN requires all children be 10+ years old for first time bunny owners and 8+ for those with previous bunny experience.  All applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.*  If you're interested, please fill out an adoption application at: http://www.rabbitrescueofmn.com. Gender: Male (neutered) Birthdate: 10/14/25  Approximate weight: 4.45 lbs Adoption fee for Pair: $160.00 (+tax) RRMN bunnies are all vetted, spayed/neutered, and vaccinated. All bunnies are fostered in private homes where they are socialized and ready to become indoor companion house pets. RRMN is a non-profit rescue group operated 100% by volunteers, and 100% of donations/adoption fees go to the direct care of our animals. Due to their very special behavioral needs, we do not advocate for our rescue rabbits to serve as Emotional Support Animals (ESAs).  We are unable to provide any documentation or certification for an ESA.        If you have any questions or are interested in meeting or adopting this bunny, the first step is to complete an adoption application found on our website:  http://www.rabbitrescueofmn.com.  For the safety of our rescue bunnies, our protocol requires a home-visit before placement.  Therefore, we are unable to facilitate adoptions that exceed an hour and a half of travel time from the Twin Cities area.
