My Story

Milo came from a large hoarding situation with more than 50 dogs, so he is still learning that people can be safe and kind. He may be a little shy at first, but once he feels comfortable, Milo forms a deep bond with his person. In foster care, he has become incredibly affectionate — even jumping into his foster’s arms for cuddles once he trusts you! Milo would do best in a calm, quiet home where he can decompress and continue to build confidence at his own pace. He can still be a little nervous or skittish at times, so a patient adopter who will give him love, time, and reassurance will help him truly blossom. Because of this, he would do best in a home without young children. He enjoys the company of other dogs and could do well with a canine companion. Milo also ignores cats, preferring to simply observe them from afar. Milo is housebroken with only an occasional accident, walks well on a leash, and is eager to learn. While he doesn’t know many basic commands yet, he’s a smart boy who is quick to pick things up. Once Milo bonds with you, he becomes your loyal shadow — happy to curl up beside you, follow you from room to room, and share quiet moments together. He has so much love to give to the person who gives him the chance he deserves. If you’re looking for a gentle, devoted companion and are willing to help a shy dog continue to grow, Milo may be the perfect fit. Milo is up to date on vaccines and is fixed. His adoption fee is $450.    Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.
