My Story

Wilbur is a very curious chinchilla and loves to explore new spaces. He’s not a fan of being held but appreciates being scratched on the chin or behind his ears and some occasional pets. He loves anything he can chew on, especially pumice stones and critter pops, and is always up for a dust bath. He’s never been housed with another animal but has always gotten along well with our cat. He spends his nights running on his wheel and jumping on his shelves and tunnels. He likes sleeping in covered areas and often sits under the fleece liner of his cage. Wilbur gets a dried piece of papaya once a week which is his absolute favorite and he also loves snacking on bee pollen and the occasional carrot. Wilbur is an owner surrender. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
