Kova is a 7-month-old mixed-breed girl weighing about 35 pounds, and this brindle beauty is equal parts goofy playmate and professional snuggle buddy. With her floppy ears, long legs, and wiggly personality, Kova has a way of making people smile wherever she goes. She will likely grow into a medium-sized dog when fully grown. While we can’t say for certain what breeds make up Kova’s mix, her playful personality and habit of “throwing paws” during playtime make us wonder if there might be a little Boxer in there somewhere. Kova loves to run a few joyful laps around the yard, show off her zoomies, and then happily settle in for cuddle time. She may not be training for a marathon, but she’s always ready for playtime followed by a cozy evening on the couch. This smart girl is very treat-motivated and eager to please, which has made training a breeze. She’s already picking up new skills quickly and will continue to thrive with a family that enjoys working with her and helping her build great manners. Kova has made excellent progress with house-training and now only has the occasional accident if she isn’t let outside regularly. She sleeps quietly in her crate each night, though she would likely be thrilled if someone eventually invited her to upgrade to the big bed. Like many young pups, Kova can get a little wiggly and enthusiastic during playtime. She sometimes uses her paws like little hands or gives playful nibbles when she’s excited, so continued training will help her channel that puppy energy into polite adult-dog behavior. When she’s not playing, Kova loves chew toys, puzzle toys, and anything soft she can curl up with. Fluffy pillows, cozy blankets, and warm humans are all high on her favorites list. Her minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
