Terk

Terk is a 1-year old mixed-breed pup weighing around 15 lbs. This little guy is equal parts wiggle, cuddle, and personality. He’s incredibly affectionate and happiest when he’s close to his people, whether that means curling up in your lap, following you from room to room, or snuggling in bed at night. If you’re looking for a true “Velcro dog,” Terk is ready to stick by your side. He’s house trained and does his business outside, though you will need to get him outside quickly in the morning to avoid accidents. Terk has plenty of energy and loves long walks, zooming around the house, car rides, and playtime with toys. He’s been friendly with every adult he’s met and approaches life with an enthusiastic, outgoing attitude. While he hasn't been exposed to kids, we believe he'd love kids who can play with him. He can be a bit too playful for some dogs, and his excitement isn’t always appreciated.  Terk prefers not to be crated and can be quite vocal when confined, but he needs to be crated when you're away, so he’ll need a home without shared walls. He thrives with lots of activity, exercise, and people who will include him in daily life. A secure fenced yard is required, as he has more energy than a simple walk can burn off and may slip out of a harness or collar if given the chance. This loyal, happy boy would make an amazing addition to a family ready for a playful, affectionate companion who wants to be part of everything you do. In return, he’ll provide endless snuggles, entertainment, and devotion. His minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
