My Story

Broccolini is a very sweet boy who enjoys being pet, playing with toys, and cuddling up to watch warm, heartfelt movies – no loud or scary sounds or voices please. He is affectionate, likes to chat, and has shown a keen interest in what people are up to. Broccolini makes everyday tasks like making the bed, folding laundry, and sweeping the floor some of the funniest parts of the day. During quiet moments, he often politely snuggles up, the perfect cozy companion.  Broccolini can be shy and cautious at first, but once he’s feeling comfortable and confident, his lovable personality emerges. In new situations, he was soothed by his foster giving him the double eye blink (aka we’re friends and all is well). He quickly learned to initiate friendly double eye blinks himself! He hasn’t been showing interest in being a lap cat. Lounging doesn’t seem to be his style. Rather, he’s kept an eye on the birds and squirrels outside the windows and has explored every possible passageway in his foster’s crowded NYC closet. He runs around, over and under apartment furniture like an obstacle course olympics event. Fun fact: Broccolini has a Tigger pounce! (that’s Tigger from Winnie and the Pooh). This cat is a joy to be around. This cat has been diagnosed with a heart murmur and would benefit from an echocardiogram -- we would appreciate it if their potential adopter could help us cover this cost ($430 total) in lieu of an adoption donation. This cat can be adopted with a friend or as a single cat.
