This sweet, gentle King pigeon was found stranded on an island in traffic in San Francisco. The rescuer sheltered him for a week while we coordinated transportation and a foster home. So far, his foster mom says he is a shy bird, nervous around people. But that's not surprising given he had been living on his own in the wild for who knows how long.
