We haven't seen them with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  DC area foster home   Special adoption considerations:  Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think Athenas would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure she can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes.Athena is Looking For:  Her forever home! Athena is a sato - a dog from Puerto Rico. Island life might be warmer than the DC area right now but she's still eager to get her fresh start with her own humans in the DC area. Athena is well out of the puppy yips but she's in her prime as an adult dog and wants to explore her new area on sniffy walks and adventures! But you know what she wants most of all? To know she's safe and loved, where she belongs. In exchange she promises adoring gazes and loyal companionship for all her days. What do you say? Can you see her down there by your side?
