My Story

LOUISE NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!   Come meet Louise and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (3/22) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Silver Spring (12020 Cherry Hill Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20904)!   Name:   Louise          Best Guess for Breed:   Cane Corso and Boxer mix  Best Guess for Age:   3 years as of January 2026        SEX:    Female   Approximate Weight:   57 lbs   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen them with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  DC area foster home   Louise is Looking For:   Louise is a sweetie with a beautiful tan coat who’s looking for a place to call home. She’s at a wonderful age where she’s settled into herself and ready to enjoy life with her people. Louise would do well with a family who appreciates a loyal companion and is excited to welcome her into their daily routine. She’s ready to turn the page and start her next chapter with a forever family. What My Foster Says About Me:    This beautiful girl is settling nicely into home life and showing what a wonderful companion she can be. Louise enjoys getting out for walks and likes to take the lead, happily setting a steady pace while exploring the neighborhood. She does especially well with a harness and seems to really appreciate the chance to stretch her legs and take in the sights and smells. Louise is good with other dogs and has enjoyed trips to the dog park. She also loves playing fetch with a ball and will even bring it back to you. Because she’s a bigger girl, she brings a strong presence wherever she goes, but she carries herself with a mellow, gentle demeanor that makes her lovely to spend time with. She’s doing great with both potty training and crate training, and she has been very easygoing around the house. In the evenings, Louise is perfectly content relaxing on the sofa after a day of adventures.   Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
