My Story
Spade is our very first foster! We named her Spade because of the spade-shaped marking on her face, and it fits her perfectly. This 2 year old sweetheart was found as a stray and ended up at San Antonio Animal Care Services on the euthanasia list, but she was given a second chance and and she has truly made the most of it! She has such a fun, puppy-like personality.Spade is incredibly smart and picks up cues quickly. She is currently working on being fully house trained. She already knows several commands, including âsit,â âcome,â âlay down,â âstay,â and âgo outside.â She loves to learn and is eager to please.Sheâs playful but also knows when itâs time to chill. Our two big dogs (an English Setter and a Mini Newfie) sometimes have to babysit her and she LOVES being the little sister, trying to get them to play, but she listens when itâs time to settle down. She adores our Chihuahua and gets so excited to see him⦠even if she forgets heâs a little smaller than she is! Sheâll paw at other dogs to start play, but she adjusts so quickly. Spade would thrive with another playful dog or dogs who love to have fun.She lovesPlaying fetchCarrying around stuffed toys and playing with them by herself!
