My Story

1/12/2026 local resident has mother and three young kittens in her yard. She is donating money to help cover some of their vetting. The mother is being TNRed.  The littermates are Pistachio(M, silver tabby), Cashew (F, brown tabby), and Peanut (F, silver tabby). Being fostered by Danielle Jackson.  one important thing about cashew that you need to know and whoever adopts her it’s critical that they know this please. Cashew has extreme anxiety when being given any type of medication orally or a shot. She went ballistic when Pat was doing her FVRCP intranasal treatment. Literally terrified out of her skin! When I brought her to Just Cats to see Dr. Jan the other day, the same thing happened. Super high anxiety. In fact, Dr. Jan said this is a crazy cat. I don’t know if she’s adoptable! lol!! She’s actually the sweetest one of the bunch. But when someone tries to hold her down and do some type of treatment, she goes absolutely bonkers.! Very important that whoever adopts her knows that she should be given gabapentin before a vet visit… Dr. Jan highly recommended this and I think it’s an excellent idea. Whoever adopts her would never think that she could go so crazy! It would be best for all if she was given a little gabapentin in her food prior to a vet visit. Please make a note of that in her file. It will make everyone’s life easier! Other than that, she hasn’t a mean bone in her body
