Hippo – Happy-Go-Lucky Snuggle Buddy Hippo is a 3-year-old, 68-pound Pit Bull Terrier mix. Equal parts cuddly companion and playful goofball, he thrives on human connection and positive interaction. Leash manners: Pulls rather strongly with excitement but is motivated to work on his leash manners with yummy treats. Affection lover: Extremely friendly and eager for attention—Hippo happily snuggles in for pets and head scratches, though he may get a little bouncy when excitement builds. Treat-motivated learner: Checks in with his handler for treats, responds well to “sit,” and takes treats gently. People-focused companion: Greets people enthusiastically and stays close with hopeful eyes, enjoying the engagement. Playful moments: Shows occasional interest in tennis balls, happily chasing one and carrying it proudly. Hippo showed no reactivity toward nearby dogs and would do best with appropriately matched canine friends or as a solo dog with social dog buddies.
