My Story

Lacie’s story is one of resilience, love, and second chances. This sweet Rat Terrier mama was once dumped with her four puppies, but she gave them everything they needed to thrive — and proudly watched each one head off to their forever home. Now, it’s finally her turn. Lacie has been through a lot, including heartworm treatment and an old leg injury, but you’d never know it from her spirit. She’s strong, happy, and always ready to be by your side. In her foster home, Lacie has proven to be an absolute gem. She’s incredibly sweet, friendly, and loving with everyone she meets — including dogs, cats, and kids. She’s fully housebroken, crate trained (though she only uses it when her foster is away), and has wonderful manners in the home. Lacie enjoys her daily walks, has a nice moderate energy level, and loves settling in with a good bone to chew. While she’d be perfectly happy as your one-and-only, she truly enjoys playing and chasing with other dogs, showing off her fun and social side. She’s the kind of dog who will quietly follow you from room to room, just happy to be near her person — a loyal, gentle companion who fits easily into everyday life. Lacie is truly the total package and an “easy” dog to love. She’s up to date on vaccines, spayed, and ready to find the forever home she’s been waiting for. Lacie is up to date on vaccines and is fixed. Her adoption fee is $450.    Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.
