And his sweet, welcoming meows—offered as a friendly hello—invite you to slow down and be in the moment. At 15 years young, this handsome senior boy has that special magic only older cats seem to have: comforting and deeply soulful.Sparks is a true people-cat who loves being part of your daily routine. He’ll confidently stroll around the house, checking in on his humans and letting you know —politely, of course — when he wants attention. His meows seem to say, “Excuse me, I think it’s time for snuggling.” He'll also show his playful spirit, peeking from his "catventure" hideout or having a good laser toy workout. Afterward, he'll melt into head rubs and then be completely content when curled up in your lap.As a mature gentleman, Sparks does have some requirements. He'll need special prescription food for kidney support. And he'd love a drinking fountain to make sure he maintains his healthy hydration. His favorite indulgence? Temptations treats.After the stress of the shelter, Sparks is longing for a peaceful, loving home where he can truly relax and savor his golden years. He would do well in an adult-only home, or one with respectful teens. Sparks also has been completely mellow with other cats and even an older, large dog, but we suspect he would thrive as your one-and-only.Seniors like Sparks have a beautiful way of settling into your life and quickly capturing your heart.
