Hi… I’m Xena.   I’m a young German Shepherd girl, about 37 pounds, still growing into myself. I love people with my whole heart, and I adore dog friends both big and small. I do have a strong chase instinct, so I’d do best in a home without cats or small animals—but give me a ball, an open space, or a chance to run, and I light up. My friends think I could really shine in Fast CAT… turns out all that running isn’t just for fun. Because I’ve been abandoned before, I sometimes worry you won’t come back. I have separation anxiety, but I’m trying so hard. My foster mom is helping me learn that I’m safe now, and every day I get a little braver. My perfect home would be with someone who works from home or is a stay-at-home parent—someone who can show me, consistently, that I’m finally home for good. I’m not broken. I’m not too much. I’m just a young dog who wants what every dog wants: stability, love, and a forever family that won’t disappear.
