My Story

Meet Gladys — a heart full of love just waiting for somewhere to land.If Gladys could design the perfect walk, it would involve being attached to you in one very big hug. She’s still learning leash manners and can get a little jumpy with excitement, but she responds well to gentle correction. Truthfully, she’s just so happy to be with her person that she forgets her feet for a moment.Once in the yard, her sweetness truly shines. Gladys relaxes into soft pets and leans in like she’s been waiting her whole life for that exact touch. Toys? Not really her thing. She’d much rather collect affection than tennis balls. She’s not reactive to other dogs and currently shares space with a canine companion who has no complaints. She’s silly, smart, and—have we mentioned?—so incredibly loving.Gladys doesn’t want much. Just you. A warm voice. A gentle hand. A place to belong.Gladys has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in her new home.  Looking for a buddy for your dog?  Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we're a match!  Check out her playgroup video here:To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm.
