My Story
Meet Buddy, an affectionate and goofy 5-year-old, 79 lb Lab/Cattle Dog mix who has been through a lot, but never let that change his loving heart. Buddy was rescued from Georgia after very sadly losing his human mom to cancer in 2024. His dad was working long hours to get by, and knew he couldn’t give Buddy the time and attention he deserved so acting out of love for Buddy, he begged our rescue partner to help find him a wonderful new home. As a result, Buddy is now safe with our rescue and ready for a fresh start. Through it all, Buddy remains a happy, gentle, and well-adjusted boy. He is currently in foster with children and doing amazing with them; an instantaneous bond! He loves to give kisses and for being as big of a boy as he is, he is surprisingly gentle. He’s a big mush that thinks he’s a lap dog. He is also doing well with the resident feline friend and Buddy does well with other dogs, too. He is crate and house trained; even waiting by the door to signal when he needs to go out. He walks well on leash and although he can sometimes get curious investigating new smells resulting in pulling a little bit, he is easily re-directed and walks next to you with slack on the leash most of the time. He is also good in the car. He loves toys, especially stuffies, which he can dismantle in no time, so keep your eye out for squeakers before he gets to them! He likes playing tug of war and fetch with the tennis ball. Buddy is fixed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $415. You won't find a better pal and loyal life long friend than Buddy. His name is a direct testament to his character so apply for BUDDY DIXON at EHRDOGS.ORG today!
