HAZEL

Hazel is a young, fun-loving girl with a big heart and even bigger personality! She may start off a little shy with new people, but give her a few minutes and she blossoms into a playful, affectionate companion who absolutely adores kids—after a brief warm-up, she eagerly jumps into playtime and hands out plenty of kisses. Hazel is incredibly dog-social—she doesn’t just like other dogs, she loves them—and would do best in a home with another playful pup who can match her energy and enthusiasm. When playtime is over, she’s just as happy soaking up attention, snuggling close, and rolling over for belly rubs.Hazel is smart, eager to please, and very treat-motivated, making her a great candidate for continued training—she already knows a few basics and is picking up more each day. She’s fully housebroken and will let you know when she needs to go out, but she does prefer not to be crated and can be vocal when left alone as she builds confidence. While Hazel has no aggression toward cats, she does get very excited and tends to chase and try to play with them, so a cat-savvy home prepared to manage and train through that behavior would be best. Hazel will thrive in a home that can offer structure, patience, and ideally another dog for companionship.
