Kira is a 1½-year-old girl who came to us from a home where her previous owner had become overwhelmed with too many dogs. Because of that, she hasn’t had the socialization and one-on-one attention she deserves—but even so, Kira is already showing us what a bright and loving companion she can be.When staff first met her, she was the only adult dog comfortable walking right up to the front of the kennel with her tail wagging. That friendly spark has continued to shine. Kira walks well through the kennels, shows no signs of aggression, and allows handling. She’s eager to engage and ready to connect.Kira does have lots of energy and is a strong girl, so she’ll thrive in an active home that can provide structure, exercise, and continued training. Because of her strength and enthusiasm, a home without young or small children would be best. Kira is looking for someone who sees her potential and is excited to help her continue learning about the world. With guidance, consistency, and love, this energetic young dog is sure to grow into an incredibly loyal and devoted best friend.
