My Story

This handsome guy is easy to leash, walks beautifully down the hallway, and checks in with his person like a pro. He appears house trained (a true gentleman — he waits until he’s outside), and he’s calm passing other dogs. On leash, he’s loose, wiggly, and happy to stroll by your side.In a quiet space, Peso really starts to shine. Once he’s had a minute to explore, he becomes affectionate and even a little playful. He’ll politely ask for attention, lean in for more pets when you stop, offer default sits, nose “touch,” and will even give you a little paw shake. He takes treats gently and is highly food motivated — especially if cheese is involved. (Cheese is a love language.)Peso prefers consent and clear communication. He may feel uncomfortable with close, hovering handling or sudden restraint, but when you go at his pace, he’s thoughtful, cooperative, and incredibly sweet. He’s the kind of dog who bonds through trust. Give him time, move slowly, and he’ll reward you with soft check-ins, gentle treat taking, wiggly walks, and leaning into your hand for just one more pet. Peso doesn’t want to be rushed. He wants to be understood. And once you’re on his team? He’s all in.
