My Story
Meet Roo! This adorable Heeler/Cur mix puppy started life in a sugar cane field in Louisiana, but today he’s living the good life as a beach pup in a loving foster home in Beach Haven, NJ. Roo is a happy, playful puppy with a wonderful personality and an easygoing nature. He loves people and enjoys being part of the action, but he also settles nicely after playtime. For such a young pup, Roo is impressively well-mannered — he already sleeps quietly through the night in his crate and is comfortable relaxing in his playpen when needed. Like any growing puppy, Roo has plenty of playful energy. He loves chasing a ball and is quickly becoming a fetch champion. After a fun burst of activity, he’s just as happy to curl up and recharge before his next adventure. Roo is also already learning great puppy habits. He does well redirecting to toys while teething, is making wonderful progress with his potty routine, and happily goes into his crate at night or when traveling in the car. One of his most charming quirks? Roo loves proudly carrying his leash in his mouth during walks like a little gentleman helping take himself out — it’s guaranteed to make you smile. Friendly, affectionate, and full of personality, Roo adjusts easily to new people and environments and is showing all the signs of becoming a wonderful lifelong companion. Roo is up to date on vaccines and has been treated for puppy parasites. Wag On Inn will arrange for his spay/neuter and microchip at 5–6 months of age at The Spay and Neuter Center of New Jersey in Holmdel. Adopters must live within driving distance of Holmdel, NJ. Roo’s adoption fee is $550. If you’re looking for a playful, loving puppy with a sweet personality and a few adorable quirks, Roo may be the perfect addition to your family. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home. CLICK HERE TO FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION!
